“To Tommy, for his Third Birthday, Theresienstadt”

“To Tommy, for his Third Birthday, Theresienstadt”

Using the picture book Bedrich Fritta drew for his son Tommy to mark his third birthday in the Theresienstadt ghetto, participants will discuss what it means to create a “normal life” in a ghetto.  The experience can either be led by Yad Vashem’s staff, or the summer camp’s staff, after an online training session led by Yad vashem’s educational department.   The training will guide the staff on which questions to ask, and how to create a meaningful discussion on the book.
