Shalom Orzach

Shalom is still in awe of the fact that we can speak about the "State" of the Jews! He is the son of a Holocaust survivor who grew up in the company of aunts and uncles of the closest type albeit not family. Their experiences, Yiddish banter, humor, and optimism have very much shaped who he is. He is named after his grandfather Sholem who was a sofer stam, and tries in different ways to sustain that beautiful tradition of; "and now, write for yourselves this song, and teach it to the Children of Israel. Place it into their mouths, in order that this song will be for Me as a witness for the children of Israel. "(Devarim 31:19)
