The Institute is a historical educational body in the Negev, examining the relevance of the heritage of David Ben-Gurion to Israeli society today and ties to Diaspora Jewry. Its central activities focus on Zionism, leadership in the spirit of David Ben-Gurion, an exemplary society, pioneering, mamlachitut (republicanism or statism) and the Negev. Situated in Midreshet Ben-Gurion overlooking the Zin valley and the gravesite of the founder of Israel The Ben-Gurion Desert Home is our educational museum and includes the actual home and additional exhibition arareas with interactive programs and movies on leadership then and now. The Desert Home is a source of inspiration for long term vision, determined leadership and pioneering work.
